I had a corporate card with amex, and ran it up like 5 grand in personal charges, mainly bar tabs. Anyway I was going to repay the debt, bc my company refused to pay it, and they kept calling me at work 5 times a day and called the CFO of the company like 5 times a day.
The collections guy was telling me they were responsible, but they fired me and paid the debt.
now I paid collection for that card is on my report, even though they were the guarantee..
I am scared to dispute it bc I dont want the company to come after me, but could I get this removed?
thanks

Usually negative items will remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of your first default. You can request the collection agency to update your account status as “Paid-in-full” after repaying the debt in full. If you want to remove it from your credit report, then you can make a written request to the collection agency, but it depends on their discretion whether or not to accept your request.
