i recieved a summon to appear in court last month but i didn't make it. they we're garnishing my check before the court date that i missed, and then all of a sudden they stopped garnishing my check. I don't know what's going on.

They can garnish your check only when the court issues a judgment against you. I think you should contact with an experienced attorney in this regard. I hope he/she will help you to get rid of this problem.
