I've seen fragments of info on several sites about LVNV but I am hoping to get some help as to what actions I need to take. LVNV recently showed up on my credit report on a debt that was included in a bankruptcy from back in 2000. I'm pretty clueless about any of this stuff, which I'm sure makes LVNV happy but I have worked really hard to get my credit score up. It was 650 before this and now its 590.
What is my next step? Do I mail letters to the credit bureaus or mail DV letters to LVNV? Do I need to get a lawyer involved to help me out?

I think you should immediately contact with a bankruptcy attorney in this regard. I hope he/she will guide you a lot to resolve your problem.
