My car was stolen when I stil had a loan on it in Florida. I reported it to the police and filed a report. I was contacted a day ago and told it was recovered. The original lienholder charged it off and sold it and I had to give a copy of the report to the collection agency that bought the old loan. The loan has since been removed from my credit but I want the car. Any ideas on how to proceed??

Hi everyone!
I am trying to get back to a good credit report. I would like to have a priority list of steps to take and how to get started. The discharge was 4 years ago and I have not needed credit during this time but know I should get all my ducks in a row should the need arise
