I'VE GOT TWO CREDIT CARDS THAT THEY'VE ALREADY SENT TO COLLECTIONS CAN I GET INTO MAJOR TROUBLE FOR NOT PAYING THESE OFF IT WAS ABOUT 800 DOLLARS IN ALL?

How old the debts is? If it has passed the statutes of limitations in your state then you should not any serious concern about them.

But if possible try to get the balance debt paid off and ask them to give you written documentation about your payment. Before that get the debt validated in writing that shows the specifics about the debts and other necessary information from your creditors.
