Will they sue me?

Hello,
I settled a debt with Sherman but they never sent me proof. Now I've been passed around to other debt collectors. I sent the validation letter and now they've passed me to National Enterprise Systems whick I believe is still part of the Sherman group. They're saying I still owe $1,300. I'm mailing the validation letter by certified mail today. My question is are they likely to sue me over this debt since it's being passed around or do they know it's not collectable? I really hate to try and pay anymore since they've lied to me and put me in such a bind paying what I did.

Hi Blondebeautyus,

First you should contact Sherman to get the Settled in Full letter from them. If you get it from them then National Enterprise Systems can not sue you for anything. On the other hand, if National Enterprise Systems can validate the debt then they will have the right to sue you over it.
