Subject: How do i get Allied Interstate to stop harassing me?

AOL hired Allied Interstate to collect monies I do not owe.
I am sure everybody is aware about AOL 6 months free, and than You cancel, they will never do, so my question is how do I get these guys off my back?

Allied is on the list of criminal agencies. Tell them that you have recorded all past conversations, and that you will be sending the evidence along with a restraining order to your attorney.

That shows You what kind of company is AOL. They must know that Allied Interstate is a crooked company, but they still do business with them.
It is just pathetic the they cannot make money the 'old fasioned way', so they resort to hire a criminal agency. Anybody had similar expierence with AOL, ehen they offer 6 months free, and than when you cancel, they never do. Maybe we have a class action suit.

Anthony gave you a name of a good web site. I think I understand what your trying to say here. Did you sign up for AOL for the six month free period and then when you cancelled they billed you? Sometimes you have to watch these types of deals because thats how they get you to sign up and then in the small print or if you sign up over the phone they will send you something that contains small print..it will say if you do cancel and don't remain with the company for a certain period of time they can back bill your free months. I wonder if this was the case?

I would also file a complaint with your attorney generals office, they will pursue AOL practices on your behalf and there is a 99% chance that the matter will be cleared up and you will not be held liable for it at all. Deal with you attorney general office and directly with AOL.

I have actually heard of AOL doing this type of stuff. When I first moved I got all these free offers to sign up for this and that. They call it a welcome pack. I called it a set up. I almost fell for it until I read the fine print. If you cancelled your service within six months you would have to apy for those six free months. They are actually one of the most expensive providers out there. You can get internet for so much cheaper these days.

Oh yeah thats really great to hear. Was there a monetary settlement and if so did the people who were harassed by this company see any of the reward? I would hope so...it would only be right.

Allied interstate is notorious for illegal collection activity...
I actually know Bud, and his website is a great resource...

well, i now every call is monitored for quality and training purposes..you have to pay your debts..allied interstate will not ask money that you do not owe. You buy for the furniture, you had your dental then after you refused to make payments?.. is that how you handle your bills afetr the service?..
