Predatory auto lenders, My auto contract was changed without my consent and knowledge. I did'nt find out about it until Capital One called and
welcomed me to their family. I was then told they had bought my loan and my note was much more than I had signed for.

How old the debt is? You must send them written request for validation. Also ask them how they calculated the interest on it. Debt buyers purchase debts for less than penny on dollars. You can negotiate with them for a lower amount. However, check SOL of your state first of all. Which state are you from?

Do you have a copy of the contract? I thought auto loans were basically fixed (as opposed to a credit card, where terms are a little different--open account vs. written contract).
