allied interstate is harrassing me claiming old debt from an AT&T account closed years ago. they phone several times a day w/ a recording on the other end in spite of my telling them i am NOT PAYING.
how can i report them?
You can file a complaint with your attorney general, the FTC, the BBB, the attorney general in the state the AI call center is located in...honestly, don't expect much else than to be called a liar...a company will deny any accusation that can cost them money.
Send them a letter, return receipt, stating that they are to cease all communications to you. Add 24-48 hours to date of receipt of letter, then all communications should stop. IF AI continues to try to collect, look for a lawyer on naca.net.
