where can I get a loan for $1000 with bad credit? I can make the payments with no problem. I just want to have a cushion to start over with? Also trying to rebuild my credit.

Simple - you need to get a secured loan - they can never refuse you that one

Put $500 down (into a CD or something) - and offer that as collateral and borrow $500 - then pay it off...and do it again and again.

You will get I1's which are better than R1s (for credit cards) and thats the start

Consider banks, the credit cards that you get despite bad credit.

As far as I know, credit reports eliminated the R1, I1 etc nomenclature years ago.

Secondly, there is NO guarantee that you will be extended credit simply because you have secured the loan with collateral. I have seen plenty of people denied on collateralized loans.

I think there are credit cards for people with low credit scores. The best option is use old existing credit cards. Faithfulness pays off.

Please be carefull with someone advertising for a loan- as was posted above.Also, anyone wanting you to send them a deposit or money up front is bad news.

Unless you can get a loan from family with no interest, I would put the money you were going to make in payments back, and save that.

We had banked at our bank for years, had numerous loans, always on time and paid back. A Collection agency hit our credit report, and I tried to get a loan with collateral- was denied!

If you have bad credit- I would check out the 3 CRA and see if there is something there that shouldn't be, etc. to get that cleaned up as much as possible--Good Luck..Karen

If you are a "legitimate and accredited money lender", then why have I never heard of you? No credit check?..(you would take that risk? SO many of these 'ads' are scams. Too bad people actually fall for them. These 'money lenders' prey on those who are very desperate, financially. Hope one of the Mods will see this and delete it.
