Has anyone dealt with Wells Fargo Auto Finance? November of last year that gave me a new account number out of the blue, but they did not take the old account number off my credit reports and one has been charged off, the other late, etc. What a nightmare as far as that I have had this one account since july of 03 and never, ever missed a payment and now since then I cant get my credit score back up. I have called, faxed, sent certified letters to their credit department, etc since Nov o6 and they said that they and the credit agencies are right and I am wrong, and tell me to go to hell. Can anyone please help me.
thanks,
Luke |

You are gonna want to learn the Fcra as soon as you can.You will be looking under duty to furnisher to investigate and duty to provide accurate reporting.
I personally would get the better business bureau and your attorney general involved at this point for their assistance. Follow the steps outlined in the Fcra for correction and if they do not wish to cooperate you may have to hire a lawyer and file suit. _________________ Cajunbulldog

Inquiries for credit or loan application usually stay on your file for 1 or 2 years. Which inquiries are you calling illegitimate? The pre screening inquiries? _________________ Regards,

I have and am still dealing with the problems of Wells Fargo Auto Finance. For the past 18 months (total time the loan has been in place) Wells Fargo refused to talk to me, although I am the co-signer. They gladly report to the credit reporting agencies, which is fine, it is just the principle. We are having the same problem with the account number fiasco. While recently applying for a mortgage loan, I was asked about my 2nd auto loan, which is not correct, there was only one loan through Wells Fargo, but two show up because of the two account numbers.
To make things worse, after refinancing the vehicle in August, the new finance company had a 10 day payoff amount which was funded the 4th day of the 10 days. Now Wells Fargo is harassing us telling me the loan wasn't paid off and we owed more money. Unfortunately, because they were so rude and threatening, we paid them additional monies, which now we are finding out we didn't owe. Adding insult to injury, the new finance company is trying to deal with Wells Fargo directly to get this resolved for us and Wells Fargo refuses to answer their calls.
The only thing I know to do is start a letter writing campaign to the BBB, FTC and the Attorney General. Any suggestions?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated! |

Please go ahead and report to the AG of your state, FTC and of course the BBB. _________________ Keep in touch
