FIA CSNA report inquiries

FIA CSNA/Bank Of America has off and on pulled my credit report for nearly 4yrs now.

The original debt was nearly 10yrs ago lease return vehicle. Tried to charge me for damage to vehicle years later, although I had paper work stating returned in perfect shape. So they backed off for years and now just pull my report off and on.

My question is how can I make this stop, I found other cease letters, but nothing for this particular situation of past limitations/inquiries. Thanks in advance.

To stop lenders from pulling your credit report all the time you may apply a security freeze on your report. This law has been passed in 12 states and if yours is one of them then you may use this. But the downside of this law is that no one can view your report. Even prospective lenders whom you want should view your report can't do it. You can lift the freeze off your report to allow lenders to view it again, but it will take some time to be effective.

I recently went to Bank of America and wanted to increase my card by $5,000. I have decided not to do this never signed any papers and would like a freeze so that they do not routinely pull my credit records. Thank You. Linda Sweeney
