I just received a letter that Discover card is suing me. I am suppose to respond to the summons with the clerk who issue the citation. I would like to dispute the amount and am not sure what I need to say in the letter to the clerk. When I called the court they told me I would be setup for mediation first. Any help?
Thanks

Your response is quite simple, you just go down through the document and admit or deny to each of the items.

example:

1. Donald duck lives in disney land

your answer

1. admit, donald duck lives in disney land.

It is that simple.

Now when you come to the amount, answer with a deny and put the amount in that you feel is correct.

I hope this has helped you, going through some court stuff right now and that is how everyone of the documents read.
