Hello again,
I recently received a letter from a colelction agency asking for payment. I recognize the account thaout it ws my late mothers. I requested a dv and no response just anotehr demand eltter. Am I responsible, theya re stating I am joint on the acct. If I am partly responsible will they work with me and take half of the amount owed?

If you are on the account as a joint owner then you probably will be held responsible, it is legally half your debt. Hang out, maybe someone else will put their two cents in and give you some more advise.
