OK, here's my situation. I defaulted on student loan years ago. A loan rehab company was working with me until I consolidated and then deferred my loans.
Now, the original creditor AND the rehab company are both reporting my loan as negative on my credit reports. How can I get the original creditor and/or the rehab company to remove item from my credit report.

I spoke with loan rehab company and they say that the loan was paid off and that they cannot delete it because it's reported accurately. Is this true?

What steps can I do to remove ?

Hello, If everything was reported accurately then you may not be able to get it deleted from your report. You could possibly dispute it with the credit reporting agencies but I am not too sure this will help. When you transferred the loans was their a time period after you began working with them that a payment may have been made late? Let us know.
