Hi everyone,

I had a school loan recently past due of 60 days. Unfortunately, this killed my credit score. It is now in forbearance. What will this do to my score now? Does this show a positive on my report? I'm crushed by this. Thanks for the help!

I am not real sure what happens, hang on though I am sure someone will come along and advise you on what will happen.

Thanks. I was assuming my score may go up a little since it will no longer be in the state of past due... I'm not sure how this works. I was also thinking of writing a goodwill letter to my lender. Has anyone had experience w/ ACS Loan Corp.? You never know, it could work...

Hi Lbz818,

Last year, I was past due on my student loan with NELNET. I called them this week and I told them that at the time of this situation, I was laid off and respectfully asked if they can please remove the bad report. They said that they don't have the power to do that. This is not true because before I called them, I called one of my credit cards and had the bad past dues remove from my credit report! I am about to send a GW letter to NELNET.... It doesn't hurt to be persistent.
