I have good credit right now, but would like to remove the BR from my report if possible. It's been close to 10-years since filed.

Hi Streemly

A Chapter 13 should automatically be gone from your report after 7 years. If it is still there you may call the credit reporting agencies and it should get removed. If the problem persists you may want to ask your attorney to contact the Credit reporting agencies.

Streemly, Carol is correct if it is chapter 13 it should have been gone a while ago. You could dispute the mark on your credit using the reason as past the reporting time period. I believe if you do this or contact the agencies they will remove the mark just be sure it is past 7 years.

Mine was a chapter 7. Does that change anything.

Thank you for your comments Carol and fireyone
