Hi june.vang, I have metioned few points for improve your credit score earlier.
1 ) Always avoid late payments as well as do not miss payments.
2) You must have to pay your bill payments/credit before due date.
3) You can use secure credit card to improve credit score.
4) Do not apply for new credit card while you trying to improve your credit score.
5) Be aware from filing bankruptcy unless it becomes an emergency.
Be updated with your credit report on regular basic to keep in touch.
Thanks & Regards.

| June, the account you already settled will stay for the seven year reporting period. There is really nothing you can do about that account showing on your credit record. The older the account gets the less it damages your credit. You just need to bild some good lines of credit now and make timely payments. |

Hi June.vang,
I am afraid you cannot do much about that, except waiting for 7 years to get that negative item removed from your credit report. However, you can try to avoid getting into such a situation in future. Henceforth, when you get a credit card, use it properly by paying the debts on time. Try to avoid late payments and do not miss payments.
To repair your bad credit you can get a secured credit card. In such a case, you have to deposit some amount of money to the creditor, which will act as the security against which the credit card company will give you the card. Use the card responsibly and boost your credit score. _________________ All the Best
