Subject: how can I find the date of last payment

I am still trying to track down a debt. I got a phone call from an atty yesterday (listed on another post). I can see the account listed under ones in good standing with the last date as of 2003. After that it was listed as transferred to another lender. Problem is their is no company listed under the postive or negative side of my account showing who took over the debt. They are saying I paid on it until Non 2005 but I can not find it on my credit history or whom I paid. Can I go by the date it was transferred or how do I find out when I "supposedly" quit paying the new lender since I do not see the Them on my report? There isn't even an account history listed for when Chase NA owned it.

I think I have figured this out. I had an old unpaid debt through Providian years ago that is due to fall off this year. I looked at the amount on that one and the amount on the chase na on on the good side of my report and seen they were almost identical. After looking around on the interenet I seen where chase na bought out providian. So this debt must have been transferred when they bought them out back in 2005. They must have somehow updated the account. According to my Providian listing (on the bad side) this debt is already way past SOL. How can I prove this is actually the same debt? Will they show this original lender 9Providian) when I recieve my debt validation or will it just show Chase na as the original lender? If Chase bought out Providian then you think they would have to show Providian as the OC.
