No I haven't dealt with the collection company. But if sent a debt validation letter to them and they haven't sent you anything to prove that it is your debt in three months. That must mean they do not have anything. When you sent the debt validation letter certified with receipt? If so you need to send copies of it to the CB letting them know you sent them a debt validation letter and they never sent you anything to verify that it was your debt. And that should take care of the problem.

I have not dealt with them personally either. I would suggest a quick internet search and stopping by the Better Business Bureaus web site to see if they are acredited there. Usually you can find out a lot about a company by googling them. Most people who have problems with collection agencies will go to the internet as a source of information. I would also check your states web site. Some states have been listing good credit counseling companies on their sites since all this economic turmoil.

Definately do your research, it is quite easy to get information on companies these days with the internet and other resources. Check them out thoroughly before committing to a company.
