I am living in spain but have just lost my job.. im slowly getting into debt and i dont no how to prevent it.. i cannot afford my rent or food to eat ... or a plane home.. I want to return to england but if i have a debt here in spain will it follow me back to england. Im starting to panic as i have already had this problem before in england and im not wanting the same thing to happen please anyone no what i should do.

Do you have relatives you can borrow money from for a plane ticket? And as far as the debt you have in Spain. I believe to the best of my knowledge it will follow you. There are some other people on here that may be able to help you with this more so than me. So just hang in there.

Hello and welcome to our forum. Unfortunately a lot of us our facing similiar situations do to the down turning economy. Have your considered getting a hold of a debt consolidation company? Maybe they could get your bills consolidated and contact creditors about settling the debts for less. This would at least make it easier to come up with one payment and it would be less than all the others combined. This sounds like it may be the best solution. If not you may have to consider bankruptcy. Not a choice any of us like to make but the option is there.

Just make sure that you do your homework before choosing a company to trust all your bills to, make sure you research with your attorney generals office, look into the company on the bbb website and other available resources available to you before you commit to a company. They can either be a blessing in helping you out or end up making your life worse. Choose wisely.

The debts you have normally stay with the house if you own the property, I don't know if this applies to rented property.
