That makes sense right, if they are going to threaten you with suing then they should validate the debt.

I have never heard of a collector putting anything in anyone's door. Shouldn't that be delivered by a cop as well. That just seams odd. No if they were coming to get a car you didn't pay for that would be different. But not a debt.

Usually it is delivered by the sheriffs department if it is a summons, sheriffs departments will do it simply by being paid to do it. And yes they will leave it on your door, this is common practice.
