Subject: Asset Acceptance settling

i am in the process of settling my accounts with asset acceptance. i received a letter from my local county court about a suit they had filed against me i called them and tried to settle the amount they offered to settle is far lower and much easier then going to court and having to pay court cost.
they say they will mail all the document once i pay them does anyone know if this is true.
i keep reading bad thing about this company but i know i need to settle (dont want to go to court).
if anyone has ever worked with them that was a good experience please post.

Thank you

You need to get it in writing before you pay, if you pay and they do not hold up their end of the bargain then you can not get your money back and you can not do a thing about it. Make all payments to them via money order so that you have record of it. When you have everything settled out and paid off make sure you get a paid in full letter so they don't resell the debt off and you end up having others come after you for what you settled and did not pay. They need to send a paid in full and account completely satisfied.
