If you know who got the lien on you. You can send a pay for delete letter to them and see if they will delete it after you have paid it in full. Make sure to send it certified with receipt so you have proof they got it. Remember not all creditors will agree to this but it is worth a try. But first you need to find out who put the lien on. If it's a tax lien or something of that nature a pay for delete most likely wont work. So you will still have to pay it.
