| The only 2 credit lines I have are my car payment and my school loans. The student loans are about 5 years old now, before they run off my credit report, is there anyway I can request that they stay on for another 5 or 7 years, however long it is in Oregon. The account is all paid and closed, "paid as agreed". But I don't want to lose it from my credit report because it shows 3 years of good payment history. And can I do the same for my car payment when it's done and about to fall off my credit report, request to keep it on longer? |

I guess it will improve your credit score now that the the account is all paid.
See, once you've paid off your loan, you must have some fresh copies of your report in order to make sure that the payment history is being depicted correctly. I don't think your payment history will be deleted. If you come across any mistake you may write to the credit bureaus to include the credit reference with your report. |

Oh, I was told anything that is closed on your credit report will eventually fall off, good or bad.
In this case it is a good account, it shows 3 years of good payments. So this will stay on my report forever? |

| I really don't think accounts in good standing are removed just the not so good ones that are removed after 7 years. Not sure if they stay forever or not but I have one that has been listed for 17 years. |
