I went to dentist and she did horrible job and charged me $2,000.00. I called here office to get a breakdown of the charges but she never would sent it to me.

This was put on my G>E> credit card. I called the credit card company and talked with them many, many times. They advised me that they could not do anything about it and I would have to pay the money to the credit card co.

I called an attorney's office and they advised me that I would have to pay $1,000.00 retainer.

I am on Social Security and do not have enough money to do this.

I could not pay this bill. I am in very dire need for dental work because of the mess the dentist did.

Hi wilma

I feel sorry for the situation you are in right now. If the job is done and has been charged to your credit card, you have no choice but to pay it. I would also say that you could sue the dentist if you had enough funds. However, if you can gather some cash, I'd suggest that you pay off the debt or hire an attorney (whichever you think you want to do). Personally, I think it would be pointless to hire an attorney 'cause you will have to pay off the debt ultimately and by the time the case gets over you will also have a lot of bill charged on your card to pay off your attorney. So, guess you could look for some family member of friend first who may be able to lend you the money.

Actually, the credit card company has a responsibility to investigate the charges under many circumstances. YOu can complain about the dentist it the state board as well.

I would contact the attorney general about this. There might be some legal aid for people on assistance.

this GE bank is supervised by the office of thrift supervision. I would contact them and state that your credit card refused to investigate the charges.
