Hi All, I got the above message in my inbox. So, I thought I may share this with you if you have any suggestions to offer.
As far as I am concerned, kanna, I think you may dispute the entry with the Bureaus. If the debt is past the SOL in your state, it shoudl get removed.
How is your payment history kanna? If you have been a good debtor who paid his bills on time, a simple request from you may prompt the creditor to get this late payment removed from your report. Some creditors believe in goodwill customers. So, there...

Is that the only reason why you have been denied credit? Have you checked your report for any other discrepancies? How are your scores? If you have a good score, one late payment made 7 years back should not be so much of a problem.
