Hi guys,

Would it be a good idea to send a DV letter to every CA that is on my credit report even the ones holding debt that i know is mine. I was just wondering if i should make sure that the CA that is reporting is infact the one that has the right to collect from me.

Also, should i copy the samle DV letters on this forum and adjust to my information, or do you suggest that i write my own.

I would like to start sending letters and attempt to clean up my credit report starting beginning of next week.

i will keep you guys posted on how things are working out.

Thank you all for your help!!!

Hi redsi,

You can send debt validation letter (DV Letter) to every collection agency (CA). You can also check the CA with the Better Business Bureau.

As for writing the DV Letter, there is no such rule that you can't copy the sample letter, but I believe that situations vary from person to person. Accordingly varies the content of the letter. Therefore I think that it's better to write a new DV Letter according to your own situation. You can use the structure of the sample letter available.

thanks Aaron,

I will construct a letter that pertains to my situation. I will post it later to see if everyone thinks it contains everything necessary.

thanks again

Don't copy letters make your own.

Start by disputing stuff with your credit report then send DV letters
