I would not pursue them any further except to send them debt validation, and when they don't validate then contact the credit reporting agencies that they refuse to validate. In conjunction, I would file a complaint with the bbb, the attorney generals offices in both your state and in their state and file a complaint with the fcra.

I wish you all the luck in the world with this, please keep us updated.

Hello C, you need to contact your Attorney General and the Attorney General in Texas which has already filed suit against Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates. They are also a member of the American Collectors Association, the director is Gordon Allison #952-926-6547, I am sure he would like to hear how their members are acting. Their members are supposed SUPPOSED to have "code of ethics" at least that is what their website claims. The lies and the deception Anderson, Crenshaw tells us on the phone are illegal and they cant operate like this anymore. Yell and scream when you have been done wrong by this company, finally someone is here to help

Most of these places that claim to have a so called "claim of ethics" is such a far scream from that. It is just another lure. The only way I would deal with this company is throught the atty. gen. office ,

I have two recordings and several others that will testify, but still would like a few other people to coroborate the unethical paterns of this company. Please write me at bright_robb@yahoo.com if interested in bringing this company to justice. I'm not an attorney, and not looking for any money, just others that can corroborate as I'm helping a friend that has been harrassed by this company.

George, use spell check before you respond. It might be a better way to show you are an intelligent person not just another debtor complaining. Another suggestion, call the company you have the issue with, don't be combative and just try to resolve it. If you are nice to them they will be nice back. Only a suggestion from someone in the industry, that is if your goal is to actually resolve the debt and not just try to beat it.

wHAT IS ALL THIS DOUBLE POSTING? I feel that the OP probaly had tried to work with the collector and had not got anywhere. He is welcome to come here and seek whatever advice he needs to help him in this matter. I myself have dealt with collectors and I must say it is truly frustrating to not be treated as a human.

I think a few of you here are on the bill collection end of it, you think that people should step up and pay, try to be cooperative, be nice to the collector, yada, yada.

If a collector calls me and they treat me like a human being then I will cooperate, but if a collector calls me up and starts screaming at me or treating me like I am some dead beat moron, I am getting a debt validation with cc to my state attorney general's office and the state of the collector.

The one's that irritate me the most are the ones that actually have attorney at law attached to their name or on their letter head, give me a break! I guess I would have an attitude too if I went to law school for all that time, studied my behind off and then had to settle for a job that a underskilled glorified telemarketer could do, hell even telemarketers get a good commission or bonus for the bills or sales they collect on. When they actually come out and say they are an attorney, I have to laugh, they must feel like such losers.
