Hello Saleem,

We do not change fico scores. We here discuss credit repairing so that you can use it and better your score. You can discuss your issues here. We will help you with your credit repair then.

One of the best things I ever heard was that it "took you a while to get in this shape, and its going to take awhile to get out"

Saleem, it does take patience cleaning up your score. Please don't be fooled by people saying they can take all the baddies off your reports if you obtain their services. Its not that easy... Sorry.

You sound desperate to borrow money. Not a good thing. Pay your bills on time and save money. Good money management skills lead to better fico scores.

credit agencies introduced via stealth some 25 yrs ago by 1commissioners report!!
They are just leeches that prey on peoples misery,THEY NOT THE BANKS are responsable for this crisis.
Downgrading very good firms/banks.
I only use companys that dont credit check i.e tiscali for broadband/phone ect.
its about time these bXXXXXXs were shut down!!!andy

Subject: credit score

My scores are horrible majority of the things on there are old phone bills and 5 student loan open accounts that are $15.6k and 2 credit card. 1 score went up from 493 to 515 and the other 2 went down from 618 to 525 and 545 to 525. I settled the oldest account I had from 1999 this past August; my score did not move. I end up being garnished over the summer for a card I got in 2004 credit score did not move. What am I not doing wrong here? there is a house on the market and at the rate I am gong I will never get a chance to buy one while the market is within my grasp.

Hi Shakena,

The first and foremost thing that you should do to improve credit score is make a good payment history. For that you need to start paying off all the debts you owe, that too timely. This will help you greatly in improving credit score.

As for the account that you settled, you can check the status of the account on your credit report. If it's being reflected as "Paid", then it should have improved your score. However, other factors like the unpaid account statuses can hamper the improvement of your score. To know more about how to improve credit score, you can refer http://www.creditmagic.org/collection/validation-debt.html#43047 .

Hope this helps.

WHAT MAKES MY CREDIT SCORE AT A LOW 500 WHEN I HAVE NO JUDGMENTS NO COLLECITONS NO BANKRUPTCYS, THE ONLY NEGATIVE MARKS ON MY REPPORT ARE CREDIT CARDS THAT 3 YEARS I WAS 60 DAYS LATE WHEN GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE I HAVE HAD 780 AND ABOVE FOR 32 YEARS AND THESE THREE CREDIT CARDS HAVE RUINED MY CREDIT. MY FRIEND HAD FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY IN 1999 AND SHE CAN BORROW ANY AMOUNT SHE WANTS....THEY SEEM TO PUNISH THE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO PAY OFF AND NOT FILE CHAPTER 11....JUST NOT FAIR.
