You can try to dispute it, otherwise you will have to wait it out.

Did you pay the company directly or did you pay the collection agency that contacted you on their behalf. Paying a collection agency can delay the amount of time it takes for it to be corrected on your credit report. Like Morningstar said, just dispute it and provide whatever proof you have that you paid off the debt. I'm sure that would be the fastest way to take care of it.

Good luck!

I would dispute it. You must be having the receipts of your payments right? Attach photocopies of those with you dispute letter as proof. The process becomes simpler as well.

Hi froman,

According to me 2-1 punch will work in this case. However just a dispute can also do.

I must be out of the loop here but what does 2-1 punch mean? I've never heard that before.

Hi cbass,

Sending a DV letter to the collections or the creditor and at the same time sending a dispute letter to the bureau is known as 2-1 punch.

I received a card statement yesterday, and discovered that there was an unauthorized charge from the InfoSys Technologies LLC in the amount of $11.98
I wanted to resolve the problem and called their customer support number 517639-0760, but I reached their answering machine.
From the message I found out that the best way to contact them would be through e-mail support@infosystemplates.net
I wrote a letter about my problem to the noted e-mal address, and within 10 minutes I received a reply that the situation will be reviewed, and in about 5-7
hours, I will receive a notice to my e-mail, and then, during 72 hours will be a refund.
Today I have received a refund and want to take back all the claims for InfoSys Technologies LLC.
The mistake was corrected very fast, and they have shown themselves as a serious business partners.
Besides, I got a free version of their software as compensation.
Good work, keep it up!

Thats some good info to share there salamder but probably in the wrong place. You might want to start a thread letting people know who might have come across you bashing them in the past.

Thanks for the info Carol! I'm still kind of a newbie around here and don't always understand all of the lingo.
