Are you one of the 40 million Americans in the ChexSystems or TeleCheck databases? Do not pay for a list of non ChexSystems and non TeleCheck banks. Help is now available for the many Americans in need of second chance checking with free unbiased information. This blog was created to help consumers who are searching for a second chance checking account avoid being ripped off and scammed when trying to get a bad credit checking account. The banks listed do not use ChexSystems or TeleCheck when opening a new account or they will not hold your ChexSystems listing against you. It also lists alternatives to checking accounts....

| I am not sure that all banks go through these systems but I know mine did, I think they have a choice to do this or not. Not sure what criteria they use though. |

5/3 or wachovia i think checks your credit report. Also many online banks do not check either. I have an account with TABBANK and they take anyone. Also they do not have any fees attached. Only problem is depositing is kind of a pain. But it is a good bank

There are some that don't. I have seen a list on the debtcc forum that is affiliated with this forum. But, truthfully, they weren't banks that I had necesarily heard of (which doesn't mean much  ). If you need to find one you can check out the debtcc forum.

| The chexx system is a system that lets the vendor (stores, etc) know if you have any bounced checks out there, or if you have the amount that you have written the check out for is in the account. |

| Hey okay. Now I have a good question. I wonder if this is what happened to me. For years I have not been able to use a check at K-mart or wal mart. They would never tell me why but on a store receipt was a number printed that I could call. Everytime I called the people at the other end would not find any reason why my checks would not be accepted. The would tell me to go bnack to that store and try to get answers there. I can honestly say that I only once evr had an account bounce and that was becasue ,my hubby forgot to make a deposit but that was years and years ago and was taken care of. I got so frustrated trying to get answers I gave up. I just use mac visa. |

Well, that sure is interesting. I tried once to cash a check at an Indian ca$ino and was flat out denied and called the number and it said somelthing lame like check writing history and at that time I had never had a check returned. I was at another Indian ca$ino and had no problems cashing one. However, the Indian ca$inos sometimes have their own rules of operation not being on soverign land.
But, the thing about Walmart and Kmart made me think of this. Years ago, I moved into a new place and got a new phone number. I tried to write a check at the store and they said "no, I had a check returned and it was never paid". Well, it was not true and they said "waht is your Phone number?" It turns out that they used everyone's phone number in their system to for check approval and my NEW phone number had belonged to the person who wrote the bad check.
How long ago did you have trouble writing checks to Kmart/Walmart?

| Maybe I will try to cash another and get the number to try and straighten this out again. It was a longtime ago but I never thought maybe it was some bad info. It just kept sending me in circles and I figured with all the perks of mac/visa why aggravate myself. |
