Subject: Need some information about collection account numbers!!

| I'm trying to dispute some items on my credit report with the creditor but the last four digits of the account number are x'd out. Do I need the complete account number and how do I go about getting it?? |

You may contact your creditor to get your account number and request them to get it verified with the credit bureau.

I am inquiring about the status of my corespondence I faxed to you regarding acct # above. I have not recieved any return call or documentation of the debt associated with this acct. I really want to clear up this matter but, I am not going to pay until you provide me past statements from Meier and Frank. I have not recieved any statement from Meier and Frank for over 4 years. I have been a good customer and have no other past debt. Please reply so I know you are really working to resolve this.

Are you providing any information to jvinion01 of how to write a letter to the creditor to get the correct account number. I cannot get your point.

SOmetimes if you look at the acct numbers listed on your different reports you will notice that TU X's out the last 4 and lets say EXP X's out the first 4. If you are still unable to complete the account number I would send a DV letter and I would list what each of the three agencys are identifying your account as.
I.E
CRA NAme
address
My name
my address
date
Account number: 1234XXXX (provided by Trans Union)
XXXX5678 (provided by Experian)
to whom it may concern,
..............
ALSO
Dont ever give them any more info then they already have. There is a reason they have to say "This is an attempt to collect a debt and ANY INFORMATION OBTAINED WILL BE USED FOR THAT PURPOSE"
EW. I feel dirty after typing that last line! |
