They come in very useful, sometimes when we are in a collection situation we are so flustered about it all that we can not see clear enough to write our own.

Hi fireyone
You can find sample letters in this forum itself. I found that Richard has already posted such a sample letter which can be used to ask your creditor for removal of unauthorized inquiry. This is the link http://www.creditmagic.org/letters/credit-inquiry.html _________________ Anthony Marx

I signed up with RMCN in March of last year with a FICO score of 502. It did take awhile for results, about 7 months, but after several phone calls they explained that the process takes awhile because they are waiting on the bureaus to respond to their letters. By November of last year, my score was up to 724 and I was able to get my mortgage. I would highly recommend them. You need to stay on top of mailing them any letters from collections as soon as they arrive. You also cannot apply for new lines of credit or fall behind on any payments. Good luck!

Sounds like they did you a lot of good. I wish everyone that was looking for a little help would get someone who is actually willing to help them.

GN you can do the same thing yourself. Call the OC of each account to see wjat they have as far as validation. If they have alot of info you will know that you should settle this account. Send the CA a DV letter and wait to see what you get. If they have the required info use the Dv letter as an icebreaker and negocaite a settlement w/ a PFD. If they do not have the required info force them to remove the mark or consider settling for a fraction of the balance to delete the account and prevent it from being sold to another CA _________________ ****************************

I agree with CMBV. Why not make the effort yourself and put the cash where it is needed most. Your pocket. If you need any help along the way this site has been excellent in helping.

I think anyone who does business, will have complants with the BBB. To do business in numbers means helping all kinds of clients. Sometimes the clients do not follow thru with what they are asked to do, to make their agreement valid. Whatever the case though sometimes clients get mad, do not understand or are upset, might even be because their contact person is out on vacation, and they had no clue and they file a complant with the BBB. What you want to look for is anyone who does business compaire the volume in numbers. Does one credit repair company have 1000 complants, does the other have 10? Are they 100% legal, registard and bonded with the state? All these factors go into the mix, and results are the most important thing. I feel most credit repair companys are not what they say they are, however RMCN is the real deal, I have used them with wonderful results!

I would advise you to make sure this isn't spam before commiting to anything. It seems we are getting a lot of it around here these days. I also would like to inform you that what a lot of these credit repair places do for a cost you can do yourself and let the money for their services in your won pocket. If you ant some advice on this just ask.

I guess my biggest issue at this point is to figure out how to get things removed that have already been settled out. Here is what I get so far, please correct me if I am wrong.
1. I pull my report to see what is on there.
2. I send a debt validation to all the collection accounts even though they are all settled (this is the confusing part) they probably will not validate.
3. If they do not validate, I send a copy of my request that I sent the collection agency to the three credit reporting agencies requesting the remove it because they have violated the fair debt collection law by not validating.
My main question is will this work even if I have settled and paid these accounts? They still show in the negative of my report, but are reported as paid. Can I get these removed by using this process?
I found some good letters on CMBV's page that I am going to use. |
