No some of them like a doc bill (my ins. covered but they billed anyway) should have been on ther until next year and a LTD bill (like fingerhut) my brothers girlfriend took and ordered under my name and didn't pay, It should have been on there until next year also. Those teo things do not show on this report.
The Cap. one fall off date (Sept 2009) is still the dsame as rthe last report but the Midlad (Providian) date changed from July 2010 to Sept. 2010. I guess i was just worried they were changing dates to keep it in SOL.

No one is knocking the credit repair companies Joe. Just some either can not afford or really can do it theirselves. I am glad you got a help from these people. In my case I haven't the money or more than a couple bad listings on my report so I can pretty much do it myself. As far as vehicles goes...guess what repair them (and hubby too) ourselves. Boild down to the same thing..Keep runnung your vehicless (in our case 3) to the garage to have the computer read for $50 a pop or buy your own reader ($120) and do it yourself. Anyway Glad to see you registered..welcome and Look forward to seeing you around the forum

Subject: No Company Is Perfect

In any industry. I think too many people expect miracles and need a reality check. If any company removed everything bad on ones credit they would be illegal! WAKE UP PEOPLE!

well watcher, I think it is a crime that ten different companies can report on one single debt. How fair is that to the debtor, reality is that it is only one debt, but one debt can end up having multiple entries on your report. I think if you can pay for delete, legal or not, good for those who make it work.

I agree, I think that these fees that they put on these accounts is ridiculous, I am really surprised that the government has not put a limit on what these companies can put on an account, they are three, four and five times of what the original debt was in the first place. I would not mind seeing some of these companies being knocked down to size.

You would think that the government would have their nose in this and would try to regulate them a little better. These collection agencies cause some people to file bankruptcy or bring on foreclosure of homes. It causes poor credit scores, which affects some employment opportunities. If the credit scores are going to affect so much in our lives then there should be some regulating on what these collection companies can do, we have no defense exept debt validation and they refuse that too.

Kudos Gn and ERB. I truly believe watcher needs a reality check. Either they have never defaulted on debt to see the unfairness of collectors tatics and the credit reporting laws or they do not understand it.
Lots of good people get caught in the credit reporting and collecting trap. I think all the parts of this sysytem need a good review and rewrite.
They think just wall street caused all this credit mess but I think the whole credit world can claim a least some part of it.

Hi Tiffany
If some of the hard inquiries are removed from the credit report, your credit score will definitely improve, but by a few points, although not much and you can find the effect within two to three months. Now since the credit repair company had stopped repairing your credit, you should not wait anymore and in turn you should start repairing your credit by yourself. There are discussions in this forum which will help you to repair your credit without taking help from any credit repair agencies.

Yes, Justin is right, you should start repairing your own credit by yourself immediately. For this, you should first stop paying all fees to RMCN and order your credit report from the three bureaus. Since the hard inquiries have already been removed from the credit report, you should concentrate on removing the negative listings. You should dispute any debt listings with the bureaus which you think you do not owe. The bureaus will review the listing and remove it from your report. However, if you find a debt you actually owe, you should send a DV letter by certified mail to the creditors and if the creditors validate the debt within 30 days of receipt of your letter, you should negotiate with them for a repayment plan and PFD agreement, so that the negative listing gets removed from the credit report as soon as you pay off the debt.

Most companies just send dispute letters. What do you do when the results come in that you actually owe money? Wouldn't you want that debt paid off at a reasonable price and removed from your credit? It's about time people pay for a service that gives them honest results.

Problem is apt of it really is't that reasonable unless they settle for about 30% of the debt. They bought it for pennies ion the dollar added off the top interest charges and other fees. A card that may have been defaulted on for $300 turns quickly into $3000. I can see having a small penalty, especially for those who just had a run of bad luck but the amounts they add on?

Subject: the price I was quoted for RMCN

Posted on Fri Oct 24, 2008 1:58 am

I was quoted $850 up front and then $99 a month for up to 6 months, for help with 3 items. One of them big. I decided not to do it, and sent out DV letters to 2 companies my self. The biggest one deleted it from my credit report because they could not verify, and the other one reports me every month now for not paying, all its cost me is $10 for a DV letter and Certified.

Please dont fall for this stuff, by the way the FTC cracked down on places like this today so everyone beware.

Do not pay for any of these places, especially RMCN
