RMCN may or may not be able to improve your credit score, but like steevo said, they have a slick marketing approach and a high price.

The company has a whole slew of sales reps marketing for them to varying degrees. The sales reps do not appear to do any of the repair work themselves; rather they seem to solely market the product in which they get a very lucrative cut from each sale.

Of course, they will pull your credit report (you pay for that as well) and review it in an attempt to provide legitimacy to their high cost by assuring you there are a some entries on your credit report that will take considerable time and effort to remove which I find interesting given the rather unpredictable nature of credit repair.

I was quoted just over $1000 to basically remove a couple of old charge-offs. When I declined, a few days later the sales rep contacted me stating they were "authorized to give me a discount", which was still completely unacceptable.

Do your own credit repair. You can do everything these companies can do and more, and you won't feel like such a sucker for paying RMCN.

Hey Guys I have used RMCN myself. They cleaned my report up some to where I was satisfied with it. So I got them to work on my wife report and they didn't do a good job. Like one of the users said earlier her report looks worst now. I'm working with Ashley Lamonica and I'm challenging RMCN to keep working on her report. I will keep everyone updated.

Most of these companies clean negative items such as hard inquiry listings from your report. However, they cannot remove bankruptcy, charge off and judgments from your report as most of them promise. Now, as per the Credit Repair Organizations Act, they cannot charge you anything till the time they have provide you the desired service. However, it is seen that most of these companies charge high fees at the beginning of the program and does not work to repair your credit. I think that the best way is to first try to repair it by yourself.

Hi,

many people use sub-prime loans as a means of credit repair. Basically, it gives you a chance to rebuild your credit history and improve your scores. By keeping up a good record on sub-prime loans, you can eventually refinance to better terms and get back on your feet.

First off...RMCN is NOT a debt consolidation company
Second...The BBB does not recognize ANY credit repair companies unless the company PAYS them to do so.
RMCN is a VERY reputable comapny; my daughter went through it and within 6 months went from a very low mid to a mid where she not only qualified for the home but got the best rates available!
They are an accredited comapny that is both registered and bonded.....get your facts straight people before you critisize a company and people you know NOTHING about!!

As an owner whose business is in the EXACT same city as RMCN, I can speak VERY knowledgeably about them... I won't say anything about the differences in our business models, as I think it best to let them speak for themselves, online, and through our respective representatives...

The owner, Doug Parker, is a personal friend of mine, and we have been in business for roughly the same amount of time... Doug's integrity is second to none, and I challenge anyone to show otherwise... His company, in fact, is the only company that -even as one of my biggest competitors- I would still recommend to someone, assuming they weren't using my own...

With respect to the successes or failures of individual clients, please remember that there are three sides to every story... The CR co's, the client's, and the whole truth...

I have dealt with my share of malcontents, and people who elect to complain at all crossroads. These folks typically chose to blame the world for their own failures, and a good number of them have bad credit... So, in fairness to my industry, we deal with a higher percentage of people (per capita) who are apt to complain from the outset.....

With respect to the BBB.....
As a national policy, credit repair organizations are not afforded membership, nor are they entitled to anything but an 'F' rating. (Should you question this, I encourage you to call Lee Stallings, the complaint manager for my local D/FW BBB office... He will back me up...) The number of complaints that RMCN is VERY small when compared to the volume of clients they serve in any given month, let alone a 5 year history of business...

this is for most of the complaints above. first off RMCN is a FULL credit service company. meaning they do damn near everything EXCEPT DEBT CONSLIDATION! they will help you settle your outstanding balances if necesary. they will even help you estabish credit once you are through the program!!!! who else is doing that???? you guys have to remember that yes there are truley false things on consumers credit reports that really are not suppose to be there. however the majority of people trying to remove bad lines of credit know what they are, why its there and that THEY are at fault for it being there. the credit bureaus are on to the public when it comes to trying to get this stuff removed and disputed so they do investigate the complaints TWICE only then move on but RMCN doesnt stop there like most of the other companies do. it is a process but not too lengthy of a process (six months). the normal average person dosent have the time, patients or know how to resolve MULTIPLE disputes and do it as effectivly as RMCN does.
above amy c said she used RMCN because her finace was reffered by a friend who used them. so what im hearing is that the friend had success(a bankruptcy was removed!!!!!)and reffered RMCN to the fiance and then he had success so he in turn reffered his fiance to them. 2 out of 3 aint bad and a bankruptcy in the mix as well!!??? we dont even know how bad or what amy was trying to get erased or taken off. some things just cant be handled because THEY ARE JUSTIFIED and ACCURATE!!!!!! you messed up and didnt pay something so they reported it. there is NO GUARANTEE with any credit repair service but there are results and the lack of complaints that do go a long way. which brings me to the subject of customer complaints. what company or business do you think has the MOST CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS IN ALL OF AMERICA????.................. answer:disney world. thats right good ole wholesome disney world! no company will ever have zero(0) complaints. it dosent happen and never will. that is why the BBB lists RMCN as a "satisfactory standing" company. look at RMCNs history and testimonials. thats whay i did and i signed up with them. i researched for 3 months before narrowing down my search. most of the companies i looked at are no longer in business now.
RMCN took me and handled me with respect and care. i had my doubts because i was tooooore up. 480's!! it took them the full six months but i got back to the 690's and then i took it from there by making my purchases and establishing my lines of credit like the instructed me too. now im where i want to be and they made that possible. i will always recomned them and i have nothing but A+++++++ marks to give them. i have reffered 9 friends and family there and they have all had great results as well.

p.s. you just cant make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time. peoples own perception and expectations are just that their own.

I love how the last three posts are within a week of eachother and are "slamming" the numerous clients who have paid hard earned money for the disservice that RMCN provides! Cowgirl - you need to learn how to s-p-e-l-l...! Who was your "daughters" aka imaginary person's consultant? Really, finished in 6 months? Well, she would be the only one!

Megatexan - again, it is called punctuation and you need to purchase a spelling guide as well. Perhaps the same person? Likely so, since we are beginning the same rant on "debt consolidation". And who was YOUR consultant?

Oh yes, and the comment on having to pay the BBB - are you SERIOUSLY implying that the BBB will give you an "F" unless you pay them? You are not only stupid but delusional as well. Perhaps instead of having RMCN employees trying to redeem themselves, they should begin providing a little something called CUSTOMER SERVICE! You have an F on BBB because you FAIL... big time!

Mark S... (Whose anonimity and 'guest' status, speak volumes...)

As I said, there are always THREE sides to the story...

In no way did I intend to presume the details of a particular experience were not exactly as they were presented; rather, I wanted to let folks know the true nature of MANY of the complaints our industry is faced with. There are the unfortunate incidents wherein people who seek to discredit those who DO actually perform the services they are hired to do, citing the misdeeds of other, far less reputable practitioners within the industry in the interest of adding creditbility to their story.

I suppose your last comment was directed at what I had said about the BBB's policies regarding credit services organizations...
Call the Dallas office, and ask for Lee Stallings, the complaint manager for the Dallas office... 214-220-2000 He'll verify what I have said.

I've called the national council in Arlington, VA to try to get some clarification. When I get something in writing, I'll post it publicly...

And, in closing, regarding the BBB, please remember that they do not report any POSITIVE feedback. Again, I would love to be a part of an organization that offered both POSITIVE & NEGATIVE, so as to offer more reliable information...

If your credit report only offered the negative information about you, would it be a true reflection of you as a financial risk..?

I hope this hits the board. As a previous employee (dont hold that against me. I was sucked in too) I would encourage you to not do business with them. They are CURRENTLY under investigation by the FTC for ethical business practices. They will tell you what you want to hear and get your money. They claim a money back guarantee if they dont get anything removed. That means exactly that. ANYTHING. If they get one account or an inquiry removed then they have "met their obligation" and dont have to refund anything according to the contract you signed. Granted they have been doing this for a long time but the company focus has shifted from doing the right theing to do the thing that makes the most money. Unfortunately I think there are many many people that have been duped by the sales people there.

So to summarize, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Doc,

My name is Mark Stroup and my ex-wife went through the program and I posted our horrible experience on here; feel free to go a page back and read where I am coming from. I agree that it would be nice if they report positive things too, however, I am not too sure RMCN would gain too many positive feedback experiences.

An added annoyance is the fact that there is now a former employee talking about an investigation... obviously enough ticked off people formed a complaint to the right people. I guarantee if there is any type of class-action lawsuit, we will be involved.

We are still looking for a REPUTABLE company to work on her credit report. You may tell your friend Doug Parker that his managers are WORTHLESS and he needs to enact some type of disclousre to keep angry employees from airing the company's dirty laundry - further infuriating already upset former clients.

I would definitely like to express my 'condolences' (if that's even the right word) to those who've had a rough time with ANY company, and I will definitely pass all of these comments along...

As far as there being any sort of investigation or query by the FTC, I cannot say that I've heard of any such investigation. There was a huge operation that ended about a year ago, with several companies in this area, but RMCN was not named, to the best of my knowledge... I suppose that warrants a little more investigation...

Doc,

Checked out your website and wanted to know if your company could even touch her credit reports after RMCN's time with it...? Do you have a refund policy?

We spent $1200 for the first charge and paid them six months worth of $99 charges; we received the "review" from a space-cadet about two weeks back; there were originally 17 "bad" things on her report (between the three reporting places) and they were only able to remove 2 - one from Transunion and one from Csc, and these are things that are clearly incorrect ie: items on the reports listed as "included in bankruptcy" even though neither of us have ever filed bankruptcy.

I've been 'urged' by the moderators to NOT 'solicit' business here on the forum. If you call me, I will gladly answer any and all questions, though... My personal email is listed on the about us page of the site...

Well, I must admit that RMCN is totally awesome. I got many things deleted off and was able to say a rise in my score. I did pay 1k for their services but it was well worth it being that I've seen results in just 1 month.

As far as Omega goes, many of my friends have told me that this place is just a "mom and pop shop" basically run by two people who are able to offer you lower fees which will only take you back to sqaure one. I am comfortable and satisfied with RMCN especially now that I am able to buy my house. Here is a little bit on my past: over 20k in debt, one reposession, and several charge offs, unpaid loans with a credit score of overall 400.

After only 2 months of RMCN services, I have had most of my accounts deleted and settle with an overall credit score in the upper 700's.

I am a single parent, and student. I used my last 1k to clean my credit. With a minimum wage income and education in finances, I am proud of the fact that I am debt free and have learned how to invest to double my money and gain assets without debt hanging over my head.
