Subject: How accounts should read after bankruptcy?

Hi everyone. Can anyone please tell me how my accounts should appear on my credit report after bankruptcy discharge? All these accounts were inclueded on the bankruptcy but some of them say derrogatory, is that normal?thanks in advance.

Hi Alep,

Frankly speaking it is 90% times that your credit report shows wrong information after a bankruptcy discharge. In your case the same thing has happened. After bankruptcy discharge all the accounts included in the BK should show "included in bankruptcy" and a $0.00 account balance.

What you need to do now is contact the creditor and request them to make the due changes in your report. Keep updating till they actually do it. CARPE DIEM Smile

Or you could also just file a credit dispute including your bankruptcy discharge and the declaration page that shows the debts as being included in the bankruptcy. Sometimes the credit bureaus themselves are easier to work with than dealing directly with your creditors. Atleast with the credit dispute you know the problem will be resolved within 30 days from the date the credit bureaus recieved your dispute.
