I'm in Alabama and what if Dish Network charge someone else account to my Region bank card because they didnt mail in Dish equiment. When I talk to Dish on the phone they only told me a he need a dollar didnt say if he dont send the equiment back to them they would charge my card for it. Now Region Bank has it in collection and I want to know how i get it off my credit report or go without having to pay for it have my friend pay it was their purchase, but I got charge for it. Please Help Someone

Hi sierra
Since you know that you are not at all responsible for the payment, you can directly dispute the listing with the credit bureaus. Moreover, They cannot charge you for other's fault. It is totally illegal. You can also ask them to validate the debt. I think they will not be able to validate it and you can easily get this listing removed from your report.

Then you send a debt validation letter to the collection agency, but if I were you I would file complaint on this with your states attorney generals office, the bbb and any one else that you can think of the govern these companies.

You can file all these complaints on line in a matter of minutes, just google them and their web pages will come up.

You can get a sample debt validation letter on this webpage, just search for it in the box above and the sames will come up, or hit the forums button and look at the sticky's, the letters are there.

Hi Sierra
If the regional bank has already send it to the collection agency, then you will find the name of the collection agency in the credit report. You need to send the debt validation letter to the CA if the CA personally informs you in writing that you owe the debt to him or if you find the name listed in your credit report.

Hi Sierra
You need to check your credit report again to find out whether any collection agency listing is recently added in your credit report. If there is any CA listing on your report, you can send a debt validation letter under certified mail to the CA. There is a sample debt validation letter in this site itself. The URl for the page is http://www.creditmagic.org/repair/sampleletter-debtvalidation.html. Hope this helps.

Just as I said everyone here is willing to lead you in the right direction. You should also always use your three free pulls to check your credit every four months. Each of the credit reporting agencies gives you a freeebee. You can see how by going to "www.annualcreditreport.com". or ask here.

Hi Kathy
Credit reports never shows quality of services which the dishnetwork provides. IT only reflects your credit history, your outstanding debts, charge off debts and judgments and bankruptcies. So if you pay back your debts on time, you need not fear of your credit history getting affected due to bad services offered by disnnetwork.
