Hi guys,
You helped me a lot in the past with your advices. I need your help again.
I sent a Debt validation letter to the collection agency and now I have this one wrong account removed from my credit report. However it is removed only by Experian, Transunion still reports it. What should I do for it to be removed by Transunion as well?
Thank you

You may have to request something in writing from the collection agency stating that the account was being reported incorrectly. Not all creditors and collections agencies report to all three of the credit bureaus. On the other hand credit bureaus will sometimes pick things up from the other bureaus so although the collection agency removed the account from Experian you may have to remove it yourself from TransUnion.

Can you get the letter from the collection agency like cbass is talking about, or can you get anything from experian that states why it was changed that would reflect something that transunion would take as truth? Goodluck, this process can be so frustrating, just be persistant and don't give up.

..also, what you may have to do is send a letter to ALL of the CB's, just to make sure you 'covered all your bases'. Let them know the situation. I don't know ( from experience) if that will work, but, it's worth a try.

Wonder why some of them are easier to work with and the other is not, I don't think this is fair to the consumer.

I wonder that to. The bad ones make the good ones jobs alot harder.
