I received a phone message from Payday Loan Recovery Group stating that if they don't hear from me by 3pm tomorrow, they are going to process a wage garnishment. I don't know who these people are. Can they garnish my wages?

They are scammers and are trying to scare you. Don’t share any personal information with them. Just file a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.
It can happen to you. Fail to pay taxes, skip out on child support or overlook some bills. One day down the road, you open your paycheck to find that it's shrunk. Uncle Sam, your state government or another creditor has collected some of your wages.
Creditcard1...the OP is talking about a payday loan and probably an illegal one at that. To the original poster...send the CA a cease and desist letter demanding they NEVER contact you or anyone associated with you ever again per the FDCPA.
