Thanks in advance to all that put their imput, any advice is helpful.

I have 3 Negitive objects on ym credit. Im 20 Years old and never financed anything so these 3 objects are hurting. Without employment info im hitting a 485.

The 3 objects are-

Alltel- I know i owe them, its not much i figured it be best to just pay it and life goes on.

Sprint- I closed a account with them and paid it off at lease a year ago, now someone is calling me from a collections wanting money. I know i paid it, they want to settle for 218$ when they claim the dept is 418$.
But its been a year ago and im sure theres now way ill be able to find record anymore

Nationwide insurence- I didnt even know they could put negitive on my credit? I thought when you insurence lasped that was that?

I also have 7 Inquires Iv heard checking you report everyday will make them go away, anyone know?

I also have a capital one card, thoe never used it my life its on my report, not negative, just says pays as agrees.

Thanks again
Dann

I don't think checking your credit report everyday will make anything go away, deal with the Sprint and Alltel issues first, start using your credit card but pay it off in full every month; continuos usage will give you points.

What about sprint, im 100% sure i paid them a long time ago. Should i sent a disput or should i take their offer while they are offering it. They said the settlement will not take it off my report, but it will show as settled.

Perhaps you can call Sprint and ask for payment details, or if you paid by check, you might be able to get a copy of the check from the branch...

I think that only works with one credit bureau (and I forget which one). After between 6 months to a year, hard inquiries have little or no affect on your credit score.

Nationwide insurence- I didnt even know they could put negitive on my credit? I thought when you insurence lasped that was that?

Even though your coverage will be cut (and so it doesn't seem fair), I am almost certain that a derogatory will pop up on your credit report. If no one else here is familiar with this aspect, I suggest you post the same question to the insurance forums (link at top of the page).

I also have a capital one card, thoe never used it my life its on my report, not negative, just says pays as agrees.

I would start using it for small purchases, and pay in full every month.

Definately do as morningstar advices and get some usage on your card. Just remember it is easier to charge things than to pay them off...so do so carefully. I would definately also contact Sprint...hopefully it is something you can get cleared up. If you can't through there affice..maybe you can try the debt validation process. As to car insurance I also had no clue that it could go onto your credit report. Thats why I find it interesting to read posts on all the forums..it gives great info. I have been finding out things that may be useful later in life. Hope you get everything straightened out. Please give us an update from time to time.

thing is getting these guys to agree with a pay for delete and then you pay and they don't delete, it is really frustrating when you have followed through on your end and then they don't hold up thier end of the bargain. really irritates me.

It all is just such a nightmare. Stumble once and it takes forever to get back up. It all gives me a headache.

I was worried about that to, so I recored the convorsation. lol...
But the CA was very nice the whole time while I was dealing with them. I was very surprised, I just kept trying to figured out what happend and when I did they understood and I proposed the deal, she put me on hold and asked for the approval and said they accept. I figuerd they accepted becouse I could have fought for a few months and gotten it taken off for free anyways. That was the biggest one on my report.

I just dont understand why my credit score is so low. Seems like many peaple are way worse then me and still have better credit.

welp on the the other 2...

I hope they hold up to their end of the bargain and help clear up your credit. Maybe you lucked out and got a reputable credit agency. I can not tell you what is up with your credit score...we would need more info on it.

Im using creditreport. (com) . Soppose I need to try another?

Try myfico[dot]com. Gives better results. or credit report annualcreditreport.com is the one we use.

Fri, 03/28/2008 - 11:02 Permalink

Used myfico , i do liek it alot, very handy tools and user friendly. Show my credit score 100 points higher but did not show the my current dept items, did show a collections acount that is bull from a company that im about to call and chew out. Never owed them a dime or signed anything, had nothing to do with it. So that should be fun.

Fri, 03/28/2008 - 21:53 Permalink

Enjoy chewing on them LOL. myfico helps for sure :)

If you have a copy of the conversation, I would send a letter informing the CA:

a) that you have a recording of the conversation
b) that failure of the CA to meet the terms of the agreement could constitute a breech of contract
c) that you would be willing to exercise your legal options in order to rectify the situation

They told me to alow 90 days for it to be removed, but she said it shouldnt take that long she was putting the order in now. Ill give them time then if push comes to shove ill do that.
