Why do some contributions to this site out weight other as far as the magic points, and how does this entire system work.

First thing that you need to know is that the pub does not pay at all. The longer you post the more you will get paid for it. Your post will drop in value after 50 posts so you will want to make sure that you make you first 50 count.

Each post pays minimum of 15 magic points depending on the length and value of your post. Pub does not pay at all. It did even a week back but not any more. Once you cross reach 5000 magic points you become eligible for point redemption. At every 500 earned you can redeem your points. 5000 points= $50.
