| Mahamed, Please remove your SS number as soon as possible. This is very private information that should NEVER be given out on any type of website!!! Someone could use this information illegally and ruin your credit! This is not a place to apply for credit. You can check out sites like discovercard.com and many more. You can also pull a free credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com and see how your credit is. Again please immediately remove your SS number. |

Hi mohamedhannan
You should never disclose your social security number to anyone as it may lead to identity theft. If you have a bad credit, you need to start repairing your credit right from now. You can go for credit repair companies but I don't think you will gain from it. Instead you will lose dollars, which you can use to repay back your debt. Even the Federal Trade Commission suggest to repair credit by yourself. There are many discussions in the forum which will help you out to improve your bad credit. _________________ Where there's a will, there's a way !! |

If you want to improve your credit by yourself, first pull out your credit report to find out the creditors to whom you owe the debt. Send debt validation letters by certified mail to these creditors or the CAs and wait for 30 days from the date they receive your letter. If they do not respond within 30 days, send them another letter telling them that since they have violated the FDCP Act, they should remove the listing from your credit report. If still they do not remove it, send dispute letters to the credit bureaus asking them to remove the listing. _________________ Anthony Marx

Yes, Anthony is right. Once the negative listings get removed from your credit report, your credit score will start improving. However, if the creditors validate the credit score, come to a repayment agreement to pay off the debt, but before that you should come to a pay for deletion agreement with the CA or the creditor. Another thing is that, there are sometimes hard inquiry listings which also reduces your credit score. Hard inquiry can be removed if it is not authorized by you. If you find such hard inquiry listings, send letters to the inquirers asking them either to verify your authorization or remove the listings. In most cases the inquirers simply remove the hard inquiry listing because they cannot verify your authorization. _________________ SCOTT

| You have gotten some excellent advice here and if you need any help in understanding how to do these things we can guide you. I see Richard deleted your social security number and I am really glad. Scott says it best when he says SS bank account and credit card numbers aren't just data..they really can ruin a persons future especially with all the fraud out there. Please for your own safety keep this in mind. |
