Hi, everybody
Is it worth spending the money ti hire a credit repair company or is it just as easy and effective to do it myself?

Unless you do not have the time to compose (or copy and paste) a few letters and mail them, you can DIY.

Thanks for the answer Morningstar. I think Ill try by myself. Read what the others said in this other forum with the same subject a little after I posted this one. Most of them were thinking just like you. Thank you again

I agree with morningstar. I tried one myself in to past with minimal results. Its really frustrating not knowing what steps they are taking and you can not do anything with your credit as long as they are working on it . I found you can get a much better result doing it yourself while saving hundreds of dollars. This web site is all you need ,all the information you need is right here.

Unless you have a lot of time to work on your bureau you are looking at minimal success at the best. If you dont know what you are doing you will get the run-around by the bureaus. Remember their are 3 major credit bureaus so you have to challenge everything 3 times each. spam content deleted--Morningstar There are a few credit repair companies that do what they say and have good reputations. Not many mind you but there are a few. I just happen to work for one that I really do think is the best and I love helping people get out of what we call "credit prison".

The post above, scorefix.net, is a DUPLICATE from another thread. I looked at the website..........."INITIAL payment of $195.00 and $175.00, per month, for 6 months?"...plus..other fees, as well. The website says they "GUARANTEE credit repair." In my opionion, I just don't think this sounds legit.

Think again! It is very legit. We do what we say and offer a guarantee of our services. Yes there are fees. We do this everyday. Im very proud of the company that I work for because it is one of the few LEGIT companies out there. Check us out on the Better Business Bureau. Ill admit to everyone that our business has been full of scams with companies just taking your molney and getting few results. I dont blame you for being skeptical. I was too. Ive always said check any company out carefully because there are lots of them that are here just to take your money. Im not one of them. Yes I post in other forums also. Some are the same and some are responses just on here. I participate in a lot of forums just like you must do because youve seen my articles there. I didnt realize we werent supposed to post anywhere else but here.

Well.......'Shawpiro'.......................I DO apologize if I offended you. However..you should look at 'OTHER people's point-of-views. ALOT of 'credit repair' companies have posted, on these forums. SOME people ( from these forums) HAVE dealt with them....with HORRIFYING stories, I DO have to add. From personal experience?...........I've dealt with a few, that sounds JUST like 'yours'. These places RIPPED me off BIGTIME!!

I'm sorry, but I don't think you should be allowed to solicit your inflated prices for your service here. If someone takes the time to sit down read resources for 20 minutes a day for a month, and then takes an hour a week to work on credit repair, it can be done very easily. It's really a matter of learning a few things and putting them to work. I raised my score over 200 points in a couple months at the cost of CMRR.

Besides that, your member services are EASILY obtainable through easy google searches. I'm not knocking what your doing as we all need to make money, but this is borderline spam.

I have always stated that. I was asked to post that information after I stated that I didnt know if it would be appropriate. My fees are not the issue. I dont really care if someone uses us or not. Im just here like you to help others understand what they are up against and to input like everyone else. Look at my other posts here and you will see that.

Actually I think it will be deleted after it is reviewed. I stated earlier that I didnt care to post it but was asked to. I am not here to solicit any business at all but if some comes my way I certainly wont turn it down.

You mean........you send something to CA's/CRA's, by Certified mail (disputes, etc.?) I guess if you send ANYTHING certified mail, you would have proof of sending it.

I've looked at ALOT 'credit repair' sites recently. GOSH!! Some of the 'fees' are just unheard of!! However.....I guess it depends on the situation the individual is in. In my case, it would be better if I 'fixed' my credit myself.......learning bit by bit, from this forum.

Hey I just wanted to let you all know that I had really good luck with a company in Kansas City. I won't drop names but if anyone wants it just shoot me a private message. The company is family owned and has been in business for 17 years. They have a 100% positive record with the Missouri BBB. I had 30 out of 32 items removed during their one year program.
