why did my mortgage company stop reporting my credit informtion to the credit bureaus after i filed bankrupcy?

I am not sure on this. Usually if it is a bankruptsy it would appear on your report for 10 years. Did the bankrupsy already go to court or is it pending?

Are you still making the mortgage payment? or were they part of the bankruptcy? If they were part of it the only thing that they could report is a negative mark on you. Are you still making payments to them?

When did they stop reporting? Have they reported after the bankruptcy? I guess I don't know much about this, can you explain how they were part of the bankruptcy but you kept paying them? I have a chance to learn something here, please explain how this worked. I appreciate it.

Also, I would encourage you to register and earn some money while you are posting.

I look forward to your response and hope you register with us here.

Hi Briancloud
When you file a bankruptcy, it means that you have provided information about all creditors to whom you owe money. Once your bankruptcy is discharged, the creditors whose debt has been filed under bankruptcy, has to stop collecting the debt and the credit report must show a $0 balance and "included in bankruptcy" listing in the credit report against the debt. If it is not listed accordingly, you need to contact your creditors and ask them to update it with your credit report.
