how do i repair my credit after 4 missed payments on my mortgage?

Hi drchck,

Welcome to this community :)

You can first pull a copy of your credit report, and check the status of this account. You need to pay off the dues, and become current on this account. Talk with the creditor about paying off the dues.

However before you can start making the payments, you can request the lender to agree to a "Pay for delete" (PFD) agreement. If the lender agrees to the PFD, all the negatives from your account will get deleted. You will get a sample PFD letter with this forum, which you can use to write one of your own.

Thanks.

can you do this if you are still in the mortgage agreement? I have been current for over two years but the lates are still showing up, I know eventually they will fade off and be replaced by currents as they continue to build but in the mean time it is still a black eye.
