I have two payday loans with 2 different tribal lenders, first is Lakota Cash and the other Cash Fairy. I am a WA state resident and recently discovered the laws my state has and these companies in all ways are illegal...but because they are Tribal I am not sure what I am up against. I took out a $300 loan with Lakota and have paid them $900 and my principal has only been paid down $8!!! I want to close my bank account and send them a letter stating they no longer can withdraw money from my account, contact my employer and so forth...BUT because they are tribal I am not sure what they can do...what there rights are?

You owe nothing more than the principal. You have already overpaid them, so ask them for a refund. Close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account. Don’t worry, they can’t do anything.
