I am trying to find out if National Cash Lenders is legal/illegal in the state of TX. I took out a loan of 400 dollars, and I have already paid back 400 dollars....they are now saying that I have a balance of over 400 dollars. I thought that I read that they were illegal in the state of TX...how do I go about finding this out. Again it was an internet loan, I live in the state of TX, and the company is National Cash Lenders.

I think they are illegal. You owe principal only. Don’t pay them an extra dime other than the principal. Close down your old bank account and open a new one.
