Has anyone heard of “International Assest Group” collection agency? I received a call from a process server stating that I will be served on the 25th of this month if I don't contact International Assest Group at 1-877-256-4508.

Do you owe any debt? Get a copy of your credit report, and find out if they are reported. In any case, send them a DV letter through CMRRR. This is going help you buy time.

Yes, sending a DV is good option. However, if in the meantime, you are served with a summon, then you should respond to that as per the date scheduled. Failing to respond to the court's summon will land you in legal trouble and the collection agency may even win a judgment against you to get your wages garnished.

I think they are bottom feeder. To make sure, ask them to validate the debt in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they don’t give any valid proof, then file a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC. They are just trying to scare you.
