Subject: Credit repair for real estate

Posted on Wed May 27, 2009 1:24 pm

We get a ton of people that want to buy foreclosures properties and many of them ask about credit repair services. We have a few across the country that we refer to, but we would like to know what are the signs of a good credit repair company? We want to expand our network to people outside of just our network, but we want to make sure we have reputable firms that work with our network of brokers and home buyers.

Thanks

Hi Govthomebuyers,

Here are 5 signs to know whether a Credit Repair Company can be trusted:

1) A good Credit Repair Company will never claim that they can remove "judgments", bankruptcy", "charge-offs" from your credit report within a short time period, if they are accurately listed.
2) They will give you a written document of how they plan to fix your credit, mentioning the estimated time required for it.
3) They will never ask for money, before they start working towards improving your credit.
4) The contract you sign with them, will include all the company policies, the terms and conditions of the payment.
5) They will never discourage you from contacting the credit bureaus or your creditor directly.

It might be a good idea to check with whoever regulates credit repair organizations in your state... For example, in Texas, we're regulated by the Secretary of State's office... In Louisiana, the Office of Financial Institutions... Etc, etc., etc....
